Water Damage Remediation
When a pipe or water heater leaks or bursts, a sump pump fails, or rain water enters through a window or foundation and water collects in an interior space, Air Care & Restoration is equipped and experienced to handle the clean-up and restoration. The objective in any water damage incident is to immediately get water removed, wet building materials removed, and remaining building materials dried as rapidly as possible in order to prevent further damage and the growth of mold. Time is of the essence and we can perform this service on an emergency basis.
If the water is deep enough, Air Care & Restoration uses submersible pumps to transport the water outside and brooms or squeegees are used to push it toward the pump. Once the level of water is below where a pump can remove it, wet vacuums are used to collect remaining water.
As soon as the bulk water is removed, air movers equipped with heating units are installed in the space to begin evaporating residual water.
Wet building materials such as dry wall, plaster, lathe, trim, porous flooring, and molding are carefully removed and the supporting studs, joists or rafters are dried using dehumidification.
Supporting porous building materials are treated with an Anti-Microbial coating to prevent future mold growth.
Prior to removing dehumidification equipment, a thorough inspection of the damaged area is carried out to ensure that there is no further influx of water, the building materials that were wet have returned to an acceptable moisture level and that
