Mold abatement is the targeted removal and cleaning of mold from a defined area after the water problem that caused it has already been fixed. It focuses on containing the area, removing materials that can't be saved, cleaning what remains and drying the space.
Air Care & Restoration Co. offers mold abatement as a separate service from full mold remediation. It fits situations where the cause is known and resolved, such as a repaired pipe leak or a roof leak that has been fixed, and the remaining job is to clean up the growth it left behind.

Is mold abatement cheaper than remediation?
It is often a smaller scope because the investigation and moisture correction are already done. Price depends on the size of the area and the materials involved.
Can mold come back after abatement?
Yes, if moisture returns. Abatement addresses the existing growth. If the underlying water or humidity problem isn't truly resolved, full mold remediation is the better choice.
Do you provide free abatement quotes?
No. We don't offer free estimates. An assessment by a trained technician confirms the scope before work is priced.
Does the 2-year warranty apply to abatement?
Our 2-year warranty applies to qualifying remediation projects under its written requirements. Ask us whether your project qualifies when we review the scope.
